What the mind holds is experience. What the soul holds is knowledge. The mind bases its understanding on the present moment on a very limited storehouse of data, called Prior Experience. The soul, on the other hand, holds the knowledge of All Experience. Put simply, the mind is time limited, the soul is timeless. The mind is temporal, the soul is spiritual. The mind’s experience is finite, the soul’s knowledge is infinite. Limited experience produces assumptions; unlimited knowledge produces wisdom.

The people who are always trying to be there for others generally know what it means to have nothing and or no one.

Life is a learning experience. As such, there is not one situation in which, painful as it might be, learning in some form does not exist. It is not always easy to accept this perception, especially because we expect life to be fair. We expect somehow that if we do everything right, nothing wrong will ever happen. Life just does not work out that way, not for any of us.

No one is born hating another person because of the color of his skin, or his background, or his religion. People must learn to hate, and if they can learn to hate, they can be taught to love, for love comes more naturally to the human heart than its opposite.
― Nelson Mandela, Long Walk to Freedom

I’ve learned that maturity has more to do with what types of experiences you’ve had and what you’ve learned from them and less to do with how many birthdays you’ve celebrated

Sooner or later, just by living, we are reduced to what matters, as so many things we thought were important and irreplaceable are broken or snapped like small branches in a storm. And somehow, we stand taller with less coverings. It is then we begin to feel gratitude, even though it’s hard to be grateful for what is difficult.
